for about eight hours. after we walked

after 是介詞，后跟動詞的ing 形式。

the three of us，the 用在數(shù)詞前表示特指。意為“我們?nèi)齻�人”(一共就三個人)。

three of us“我們中的三個” (我們不止三個人)

如：

They have eight people in the team.   

The eight of them (這八個人)  all know only good teamwork will enable them to get the job done on time. 

There are 10 people in the office and eight of them (其中八個) are women.

3. fall asleep   入睡     

go to bed   上床睡覺

4. in the middle of the night  在午夜

in the middle of … 在……的中間、中央

... ... ...

表達不同時間段的短語

1) on our first evening:  在我們的第一晚上

2) in the middle of the night:  在午夜

3) in the morning / afternoon /evening:

在早上 / 下午 / 晚上

4) on the morning of… / on … morning: 

在具體某天的早上/下午/晚上

5) later that day:       那天晚些時候

6) during the night:   在夜間

7) the next day:    第二天

8) for the next 10 days: 在接下來的十天里
